Hi
So today has been a dull day for me. Again. I guess that's the problem with half term, you spend the first couple days doing as much as possible, and then by the end of it you just don't want to leave your bed. I have this theory, that if I sleep loads now, it will make up for the lack of sleep when school starts again. Its never worked but I do it every time.
So, in about an hour, i'm going over to my friends house and we are going to a play. It's kind of a school thing, I don't really know what to expect. It's one of these things that my teacher recommended we go to, but I don't know how useful it's going to be.
It's called Austentatious, and if you can't guess from the title, it's kind of about Jane Austen. From what I can gather, and I haven't heard a lot about it, there are the 'typical Austen characters' but theres also some audience participation. (kill me now!!!)And basically the characters act out whatever situations are given to them by the audience, or something like that. I'll write a review of it when I get home.
I'm dreading the Audience participation part, though. Hate that. Why did people ever invent audience participation. Now, I wouldn't say i'm a particularly shy person, i'm happy to get stuff done, but when it comes to getting involved in acting and stuff, or thinking on your feet, I'm not great. I tend to panic and just blurt things out and it's almost always wrong, or makes me sound like a dumb blonde.
Something I did do today, other than sleep and eat, was clean out my jewellery box. I have a couple of little boxes and draws and bowls filled with rings and necklaces and other little accessories. What can I say a girl can never have too many accessories?! However, I realised this morning as I was planning my outfit for tonight, that I have never actually gone through any of the boxes and gotten rid of things. Whenever something gets too cluttered I just buy a new box or draw and start using that instead.
Getting rid of things kind of took me on a trip down memory lane. I found my half of an old BF's necklace, and a bracelet that my Year 6 boyfriend got me after his holiday to Spain or somewhere like that. It was so much fun. I also realised that I have a complete problem with buying those rubber bands that you can get from charities and concerts. I literally have about 20. The picture above only shows under half of my collection.
So that has been my day. Im really surprising myself with this blogging thing. I honestly thought it would only last a day, but so far, I think it's been one every day. Im super pumped about that. Have a nice day :)
