One of my goals for over the summer, was to buy a penny board and leaner how to ride it. I have done some research and calculations and come to the conclusion that I cannot afford to buy an actual penny board on the off chance that I will be able to do it.
They are damn expensive for such tiny things. I looked at making a customisable one, which would have cost me around £110, or I looked at a pastel yellow one with pink wheels which would cost me £89.99.
Which I'm gutted about because I really wanted to buy a nice one straight away, but I cannot justify that. What if I end up being really bad at it, Ive then wasted nearly (or over) £100 on a skateboard that will sit in my room and look pretty.
So, the plan is simple, and I thought of it all on my own. Im going to a popular kids store, named Toys R Us, where I am going to purchase what they have called a kick board, but is basically a penny board, but not made by Penny.
I will learn on that, bash that up with all my awful attempts to ride it. Then when I get good, or when the board end up being broken, whichever happens first, I will buy the expensive customisable one. Or get it for christmas, or another event where people buy me things.
